A passer-by called 999 to report alarms sounding at their neighbours home. Appliances from St Columb and Newquay were mobilised and once in attendance confirmed smoke was issuing from the home. Firefighters entered the building with breathing apparatus and hose reels to discover kitchen items left on top of the cooker hob. The crews extinguished the fire and ventilated the property whilst awaiting the owners arrival.
