At this time firefighters are responding to a derelict building fire.

Pumping appliances from Newquay, Perranporth, St Dennis, Tolvaddon, and Mevagissey, are on scene along with the water carrier from Helston, and two aerial ladder platforms from Newquay and Truro.

Firefighters are using a main jet and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

Update 05:00 HRS: Firefighters are continuing to extinguish the fire and a further pumping appliance and aerial ladder platform have been requested to attend this incident.

Update 06:25 HRS: Good progress is being made as firefighters work to extinguish the fire.

Update 09:20 HRS: There are road closures now in place around the incident.

13:20 - Fire Service remain on scene with one Aerial Ladder Platform and one Major appliance from Newquay. A fire investigation is to be conducted following this incident.
