At 14:12 a 999 call was received from an engineer at a block of flats on Tresawya Drive, Truro stating there were high levels of carbon monoxide in flats and communal areas. The engineer was instructed to set off the buildings fire alarm to start the evacuation of the premise. Two fire crews from Truro and Tolvaddon were mobilised to the four-storey block of multipurpose flats. Fire crews coordinated the evacuation of the building, using a gas monitor it was confirmed that there were high levels of carbon monoxide in the building. At 14:24 a request for four appliances to attend for breathing apparatus was made, two further appliances were mobilised from Falmouth and Perranporth. At 15:04 crews confirmed all persons had been accounted for and it was confirmed that there were no casualties. Firefighters naturally ventilated the premise, and the property was left in the hands of gas engineers and the housing provider.
