Fire Control received a 999 call at 01:24 reporting a fire in the kitchen of a public house on Race Hill, Launceston.

Two appliances from Launceston were immediately mobilised, along with a wholetime officer. Upon arrival, crews requested additional resources, making pumps four. A further two appliances from Callington and Bodmin, along with a second officer, were subsequently mobilised.

Fire crews report a fire within a two-storey building measuring approximately 10 metres by 5 metres. Two hose reel jets and one main jet were in use to extinguish the fire.

Crews confirmed the fire has been extinguished. The cause was deemed to be accidental and spread. All appliances returned to home stations.
