Drum On Beach

At 12:15 on 7th February, The Coastguard requested Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service to attend Par Beach to investigate a plastic drum above the high tide line. One appliance from St Austell and an officer attended and placed the drum into a chemical "over drum", removing it to a safe location. The crew cordoned the drum and requested the attendance of an appropriate contractor who disposes of hazardous waste to collect.
