One appliance from Liskeard initially responded to this incident. Due to the high number of calls received an addition appliance was mobilised from Liskeard and a hi-lux from Callington, along with a wholetime officer.
On arrival crews confirmed a large amount of gorse was well alight.
Firefighters used beaters to extinguish the fire and monitored for hotspots.
