Two fire appliances from St Austell and St Dennis were initially mobilised to the incident, with an additional appliance from St Austell sent shortly afterwards.

On arrival, crews discovered a bungalow and adjoining conservatory well alight. A fourth appliance from Mevagissey was requested to provide additional breathing apparatus support.

Four gas cylinders were identified and were cooled using a ground monitor.

Further resources were required, prompting a request for two more appliances for breathing apparatus, which were mobilised from Bodmin and Fowey. The operational support vehicle from Falmouth, along with the welfare unit from Perranporth also attended the scene.

Firefighters used multiple breathing apparatus sets, hose reel jets and main jets to bring the fire under control.

National Grid, Police, and Ambulance were also in attendance at the incident.
