At 20:50hrs, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service received multiple calls reporting a large plume of black smoke visible from the A30 near Indian Queens, with a further 40 repeat calls received shortly afterwards. Fire appliances from St Columb and Bodmin were initially mobilised and, on arrival, crews discovered a large industrial building well alight. Additional resources were requested from Newquay and Perranporth, supported by Water Carriers from Wadebridge and Liskeard. Firefighters quickly contained the incident using breathing apparatus and hose reel jets, preventing further escalation. Crews are now in the process of making up equipment and are expected to leave the incident ground shortly.
